Sophia Haid is an artist and archivist working in photo, video, and installation.

Exploring the material boundaries and ideological underpinnings of found images, appropriated footage, and her own family albums, she investigates the role of archives in the production of personal and collective memory. She is especially drawn to projects that employ re-enactments, archival interventions, and critical fabulations. She holds a B.A. in Film & Media Studies from Yale University.

Sophia previously worked as a facilitator at the risograph publishing cooperative Riso Bar Dallas / @riso.dallas .

She's open to commissions, collaborations, and creative freelance work involving digital and analog technologies.
